Photos taken with grandchildren right before his April 24, 2007 surgery to remove the tumor in his colon.

Dad was admitted to Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Texas on April 16, 2007 after a painful attack to his abdomen. After a week in the hospital and many tests the doctors decided he had a life threatening "lemon size" tumor in his colon that had to be removed. After a lot of blood loss and two blood transfusions the doctors did the surgery only to find that the "lemon size" turmor was more like a basketball sized tumor (basing this comparison off the surgeons estimation using his hands to show the size of the tumor) that had metastasized to the lymphnoids, possible lung and liver. Sadly the surgeon was unable to get all of the tumor due to its location near a large vein. After a long recovery dad was finally able to start chemo therapy.

I knew my Daddy was not a quitter but this chapter in our lives has proven it! He is without a doubt not ready to leave this world yet ! He is fighting the cancer with all his might and he absolutly refuses to give up and we are so grateful! We are so proud of his perseverance through what is obviously not an easy fight!
